Why does oily skin develop acne?

Sebaceous Glands produce a light yellow oily substance called sebum, which helps keep your skin hydrated and moisturized. Conversely, an excess of sebum mixed with dirt stuck in your pores, dead skin cells, sweat, and lipids from skin cells could lead to acne as well as black and whiteheads.
Sebum production is mainly regulated by hormones, such as androgens. Therefore, there are too many factors that could affect the amount of sebum your body produces such as certain diseases, food, physiological health, environmental pollution, weight, lifestyle, etc...
