Why does oily skin develop acne? 

Ladies, are you struggling with your oily skin, dirty pores, acne, blackheads, and greasy skin? Well, you should blame your Sebaceous Glands for that. Sebaceous Glands produce a light yellow oily substance called sebum, which helps keep your skin hydrated and moisturized. Conversely, an excess of sebum mixed with dirt stuck in your pores, dead skin cells, sweat, and lipids from skin cells could lead to acne as well as black and whiteheads. 

Sebum Production

 Sebum production is mainly regulated by hormones, such as androgens. Therefore, there are too many factors that could affect the amount of sebum your body produces such as certain diseases, food, physiological health, environmental pollution, weight, lifestyle, etc...

Oily skinned ladies, if you desire a healthy, glowing, youthful skin, you have tons of work to do. I will be completely honest, taking care of oily skin requires patience, effort, and consistency. I believe that the process of oily skincare is life-changing.
