Skin Dilemma: Oily Skin III

In the previous article, we talked about what food you should avoid if you have oily skin, but in this article, I will tell you the best and most delicious food that enhances your oily skin’s health.

I will kick this off with

 Cucumbers

I LOVE cucumbers! They mainly consist of water, which rinses toxins from your body. This is why your skin loves water. Cucumbers also contain antioxidants, which are indispensable for your skin in order to reduce inflammation and acne.

Oranges and Lemon Juice

Not only are they sweet and refreshing, but they are also great for your skin because they contain vitamin C. Furthermore, they contain detoxing ingredients that improve skin texture. The citric acid within them also works on drying out acne. Vitamin C in lemon facilitates healthy liver functioning, which makes the skin clear and glowing.

Bananas

Eating a banana a day helps shrink pores, which stops dirt from getting into them. Bananas are also good for your skin because they contain vitamins, potassium, and phosphates.

Omega 3

Nuts, avocados, salmon, soya bean, and tuna are rich with omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 plays a big role in improving skin because it's anti-inflammatory. It also helps with the skin healing process which will reduce the risk of getting acne or other skin issues. Be careful with your nuts consumption as it might give you the opposite effect if you consume too much.

Coconut Water

Coconut water is great for hydration and is a great source of minerals like manganese, potassium, and magnesium. It is also a source for vitamin C, calcium, and riboflavin(B2). Therefore, it prevents blemish and breakouts.

Greens

Green vegetables like broccoli and spinach are good sources of fibers and they do not contain oils. They are also rich in vitamins C and A. This soothes and refreshes the skin.

Grains

Whole grains and grains like Lentils and pulses are excellent for your skin because they contain amino acids. They also regulate oil production, which helps with better skin texture and leaves your skin supple and nutritious.

Dark Chocolate

Finally, something you are glad to hear! Dark chocolate is not only yummy and great for losing weight, but it also regulates oil production, which will prevent acne inflammation.

You will be fascinated with the results after adding these foods to your diet.
